It was lovely seeing you all at our show and all those smiling faces and red faces from those Mum’s and Dad’s running around the arena in-hand with their child’s pony!! We had some lovely feedback from competitors and new visitors to our premises so thank you for your kind remarks.  One of them was from Mrs Turkington who wrote the following concerning her daughter Minnie who attended our venue for the first time in March this year. Minnie Turkington age 7 started at Home Farm in March 2012 with her first pony Smithy aged 8. Home Farm has given the pair tremendous amount of confidence with each other. They have gone from strength to strength, starting on lead reign in March and winning the last group March – August.  They have now moved to the unled section, cantering round, having great fun in the relaxed, safe, family friendly environment

Well-done to everyone who attend the dressage competition held today which all went to time, and special congratulations to those who have qualified for the Hartpury Championships to be held in May 2013. We are now into our  September to December 2012 series of points and we include the points recently gained from our October competition. We hope everyone who attended this show enjoyed themselves and we provide below the results. One of the new competitors who attended our venue for this competition was Becky Patten, who is featured in our ‘Kids Corner’ – so if you wish please have a look. We have now sold our remaining stock of last years hay and now offer only good quality hay cut this year at £3.50 / bale.  This hay had been sprayed in April this year  for weed control, and is appears good quality. Should anyone be interested in purchasing from us this hay, then please call Gary on 07887 400239 or ask for Ken on 01242 573754 who can advise you direct on the current situation for collection. All our  bales are the small sizes prepared for easy transportation and storage in tack rooms etc.

We hope everyone enjoyed this competition which all went well and to time. We would like in particularly to congratulate Alexandra Filmer who was placed 5th in Class 1 and this was her first dressage competition. We are pleased to advise that as from Saturday 29th September we are incorporating Class 1 and 2 as children classes in our popular HFEC unaffiliated dressage shows.  These shows will then be held on Sunday 28th October, Saturday 24th November and Sunday 30th December. All adult classes from class 3 will be ‘open to all (including children)’ with no restrictions and classes 4, 5 and 6 will be Hartpury Qualifiers. We are trying both Saturday or Sunday dates to establish which is the more popular with riders. We hope these competitions will become popular with riders.
